Peter Sandroni who cut his teeth at restaurants in Chicago and Atlanta as well as at Dream Dance and Eagan's here, runs this Walker's Point small plate eatery that has a twist. La Merenda's tapas are inspired by cuisines from around the globe: Asia, Caribbean, Europe, North Africa, the U.S.
As of Oct. 1, 2007, La Merenda will be smoke free.
