We dined (4 people) on a Sunday evening. There was only one other group waiting. The bartender was friendly, if not very quick. We finally were ushered to our table by the bartender and were challenged by the hostess as to why we were sitting there. Our server came quickly and took our order. The bread and salad were good. Two of us had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were tasteless and almost as hard as baseballs. When the server brough our food we asked for knives, a spoon, and more bread. We still haven't gotten them. We see no reason in the world to return.
Largely pedestrian Italian at budget prices. Service was seriously lacking during our visit, but the chef was working diligently 100% of the time so he gets a pass. Cozy atmosphere. Work on the service and fine-tune the recipes and I'll stop in again.
Visited on Saturday night. Everything was fantastic. The simplest things done right. Best Italian in the city at this price point.
This is our new favourite spot. What a delight! A New-York style cozy place; food is well-prepared and ambience perfect. Great varied menu; I had the grilled calamari, which was prepared in the Mediterranean style, and so hard to find in Milwaukee, land of breaded everything. My husband had Pasta with Italian sausage; perfectly prepared. Everyone's pasta dishes looked wonderful. Menu is varied and there is something for everyone; all pastas are available gluten-free upon request, and there are even Vegan Meatballs. No smoking policy, a true bonus. Prices incredibly reasonable! The only negative thing that I predict will happen is that this will become everyone's favourite place....and it will be difficult to get into!
Recently visited, it was packed with a waiting list. The host was very gracious and got us a drink while we were waiting for a table. Food was great.
