Glendale's Sprecher Brewing Company won three medals at the recently concluded Australian International Beer Awards.
According to a brewery spokesperson, Sprecher won the gold medal for their Russian Imperial Stout, including taking home the honor as the 2007 highest gold medal winner by class.
The Dopple Bock won a silver medal, and the Pipers Scotch Ale took bronze.
The Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) is the pre-eminent showcase for premium beer and brewing excellence in the Asia Pacific Region. Almost 950 entries from 39 countries were received this year at the 2007 AIBA, securing its place as the second largest beer competition of its type in the world.
