Northpoint Snack Shop, located on the south end of Bradford Beach, opened last week. But, to kick off summer time at the beach, they're throwing quite the grand opening.
Honoring National Hamburger Day this Thursday, Northpoint Snack Shop is grilling free hamburgers for the first 250 customers starting at noon.
The "Lotta Burger" is a signature item but it certainly isn't the only thing on the menu. Operated by the Bartolotta Restaurant Group, Northpoint's menu pays homage to Wisconsin roots with Sciortino rolls and Johnsonville Brats. Grilled tuna steak, portabella sandwich and fresh salads add a lighter side to a beach menu of tator tots, Nathan's hot dogs, fried cheese curds and Yukon Gold French fries.
The menu's focus, however, is custard. Chef Adam Siegel adds fresh Madagascar vanilla for a boost of flavor in the stand's homemade custard.
So, get ready for the beach and get outside at Northpoint Snack Shop this Thursday starting at noon.

I stopped there for lunch over the weekend. I had to try the 'lotta' burger... it was amazing for only $3.50... bleu cheese, sauteed/carmelized onions and other fixings that many places charge extra for. The french fries were also wonderful, very crispy. Friendly staff, too. I will be back to try the Madagascar vanilla ice cream & other items from the menu. There are healthy options as well!

I think you're missing the real point of this article - that National Burger Day is a direct assault against Hindus because they aren't allowed to eat beef. Jeez, grow up everyone. Not everything in this city needs to be about race relations - can't a fella just enjoy a tasty burger once in a while...?

I believe it is a positive change for our lakefront and the community. I also believe that no matter what color, ethnicity, gender or sexuality you are - remember your manners in public. Chill on the swearing and violent behavior!

I agree with dvm. I saw some ruffians down there smoking last weekend and quickly turned around. I'm lucky I escaped with my life.
