After 10 years, Mr. B's changing addresses
After 10 years in Brookfield's Stonewood Village, Mr. B's Steakhouse is relocating.
The restaurant will close at the end of March and reopen a week later in its new loctation at 18380 W. Capitol Dr., in Brookfield.
Mr. B's takes over the building formerly occupied by Agave.
"We loved the Stonewood location," read a Bartolotta company statement Tuesday. "The new space offers some improved accomodations: increased parking adjacent to the building, expanded seating, expanded private dining rooms, a larger and more comfortable bar ... as well as more convienently located restrooms."
In addition, the restaurant will also be able to incorporate the building's large patio with built-in bar.
The familiar look and feel of Mr. B's will also come to the new location; in addition to maintaining the entire staff, the wood floors, green and white checkered tablecloths and other decorations will continue be used after the move.

As an ex cook of Mr B's I can claim with 100% certainty that what you see is what you get in regards to the steak cart and what is served to the guests. The cooks might look for the most presentable one out of the delivery for the day to present on the cart, but the cuts being presented are no different than the ones being served

To all the "Cart Lovers " out there. Don't assume those beautiful, perfectly marbled, neatly trimmed cuts that are being presented to you are the ones that are being placed on the grill after you make your selection. Not saying your getting a lesser cut, but probably not the one you point to on the cart. I'm sure eventually someone gets one and then they replace it with another "Display Cut". It's a Dog and Pony Show.

To: Mr. B's Fan, Why not communicate your wishes to your server. Ask that your meat NOT be brought out to you for your inspection. Really, this is a big deal. Much bigger things to worry about in this world.

It's not that I don't trust the staff or their butcher, but if i see a particular cut that looks appetizing to me that day, I may switch from my usual ribeye. You could also request they not bring the cart to your table too.

Why can't I like the place and also not enjoy the process of inspecting raw meat? I had no idea I would be personally attacked for a perfectly reasonable opinion. If I'm not cooking it, I don't want to see it. That's the joy of dining out. I already know it's going to taste great. It's Mr. B's. For you meat inspectors, have you ever walked out of the place because the meat didn't align with your standards? Do you also request access to the kitchen so you can interview the chef, test the grill, and supervise the waitstaff?
