Specializing in French cuisine, Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro opened in 1996 and has been at the top of the special occasion list ever since. Brass accents, reproductions of French prints and four-star service all add to the overwhelming romanticism of this French-inspired fine dining restaurant.
Located in Milwaukee County's Lake Park -- in the pavilion -- the restaurant conjures up visions of Parisian dining and romantic French film. It is, quite possibly, the perfect place for a date, proposal or anniversary. A full wall of glass windows provides a view of the lakeshore from nearly every seat in the house.
With low-level lighting and quiet, secluded ambience, Lake Park Bistro graciously welcomes romantic couples for a memorable meal.

I agree with the previous poster that said noise level can be higher than you'd expect for a romantic destination. Noise or not it's still my favorite place to celebrate a special occasion. Their French Onion soup alone is worth the trip!

It's romantic, but the food is overpriced and the drinks are REALLY overpriced. The service is just so-so.

Don't get me wrong I love Lake Park Bistro, but I don't understand how it could be the most romantic restaurant in Milwaukee. Considering the standard noise level there you would have to spend your entire date screaming at your significant other just to be heard. I always associate romantic with quiet candle lit restaurants.
