It will come as no surprise to any Heinemann's diner that the grilled coffee cake from the now-shuttered restaurants won by a landslide The Café at the Pfister's poll asking which Heinemann's menu item customers wanted to see added to its menu.
The sinfully delicious coffee cake nabbed 139 votes. In second place with 37 votes was the veggie burger and the jogger's French toast was third with 31 votes.
Although the baked oatmeal earned 50 votes, it was disqualified because the former owners of Heinemann's won't share the recipe.
All three dishes will be added to the menu of The Café at the Pfister, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave., as of Monday, March 9.
