Five Guys Burgers and Fries plans to take over the space formerly occupied by Chin's Asia Fresh, 2907 Oakland Ave., later this fall.
Adding both this location and an additional Brookfield location in Brookfield Square Mall, Five Guys Burgers and Fries expands from locations in Bayshore, Delafield and Pewaukee.
As Drew Olson wrote earlier this summer, Five Guys Burgers and Fries serve burgers made to order with a long list of toppings and fresh ingredients. The national chain prides itself on using only fresh, never frozen ground beef, idaho potatoes and peanut oil.
Both the East Side and Brookfield locations will open around Nov. 1, 2009 to offer the same menu and service.

I thought that Five Guys was good at first but with subsquent visits I have found that I'm not such a big fan - the buns are tasteless and dried out, the fries are on the greasy side and the burger itself is fair. I'll be sticking to Sobelman's.

There will now be three burger options on that one street: George Webb's, Bella's Fat Cat, and now the Five Guys. Each of them have their own little extra something, so hopefully all can survive. Webb's has a breakfast menu and 24-hour service, Fat Cat has custard, and not really sure what Five Guys has to set them apart. From what I hear, the burgers are more specialty. Chin's, unfortunately, never did much for me. I could always get better and cheaper Chinese/Thai food in the area. I won't miss it.

Not impressed with Five Guys at Bayshore. There are way better burgers to be had in Milwaukee.

This is definitely something that can work there. There are definitely a lot of burger options in the city though.
