Milwaukee may appear in "Courtroom K"
It was cool when actress Jami Gertz, who is friendly with Brewers owner Mark Attanasio and his wife, Debbie, watched the Brewers take batting practice.
Then a bunch of Brewers showed up on "The Young and the Restless." That was cool, too.
Now, the Milwaukee-Brewers-Hollywood connection may take another turn.
According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, Paul Attanasio, Mark's brother and an accomplished writer and producer, received the go-ahead from Fox to film "Courtroom K," which is described as a "darkly comedic courtroom drama" in the vein of "House," his darkly comedic medical drama.
The show, written by Paul Attanasio and his wife, Katie Jacobs, will be set in a Milwaukee Superior Court and will revolve around a judge, a prosecutor and a public defender.
Paul Attanasio has written for several TV shows including "Doctor Doctor" and "Homicide: Life on the Street," which he created. He was nominated for an Academy Award as the screenwriter for "Quiz Show." He also wrote "Disclosure," "Donnie Brasco" and "The Sum of All Fears."
