Brooklyn's restaurant, 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave., celebrates its grand opening Friday, Sept. 5 at 11:30 a.m. The sit-down restaurant aims to present an alternative to fast food in its North Side neighborhood.
"We are happy Brooklyn's is settling in our district and giving
the residents of this area more food choices," said Ald. Willie Wade in a statement released Thursday.
"With recent debates over fast and fresh food choices in large cities, I'm proud to see our district step up and make positive change through business development like this."
The Fruit Ranch, which formerly ran a location at the same address, hopes to reopen there soon, offering produce, a deli and specialty food items.
