Where are Milwaukee's reality stars?

I'm a television junkie, I won't lie. I especially like reality television during the summer months while everything else is in rerun. New seasons of shows like "Big Brother," "Project Runway" and "Rock Star: Supernova" bring out reality competitors from all over the world, but where are Milwaukee's, or even Wisconsin's, reality stars?

Originally from Illinois, I see plenty of people from Chicago popping up on my TV screen. Milwaukee stars are harder to find, but I'm happy to cheer and root for these people when they are there -- unless they are the evil character, then I'll have to consider if I hate them or love to hate them.

So where is this state's representation? The only station that seems to feature at least one person from Wisconsin on its shows happens to be MTV; although CBS had "Survivor: Vanuatu" contestant and Wausau resident Leann Slaby.

"Real World" has churned out two Wisconsinites that I know of. "The Real World: Austin" had Milwaukee native and Boston transplant, Melinda Stolp. She also got kicked out of current season of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat" a couple weeks ago.

The previous season of "The Real World," set in Philadelphia," had Landon Lueck from Madison, an architecture major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also went on to compete in a few challenges on MTV, but bowed out for this season.

There's also Whitewater's Jenn Steele who competed in the "Miss Seventeen" competition and won (see "Whitewater's new Miss Seventeen is as humble as she is poised: http://onmilwaukee.com/buzz/articles/missseventeen.html for OMC's interview with her).

But those are the only names that I can think of. So, is Milwaukee just not competing? Does the city think reality television isn't worth its time? Or do people compete and just don't make it? I'd like a little insight.

If you can think of any other Wisconsin reality stars, or you've tried out for a show, please use the talkbacks.
