Hearing that CD reminds me of that evening 20 years ago. On March 17 this year, I'll celebrate the anniversary of that night by attending the Springsteen concert at the Bradley Center and I know I won't be going alone. I've procured 10 tickets to the show and I've got friends begging me to buy them.

President's Day, 1995
Technically speaking, my craziest ticket buying experience wasn't in Milwaukee. It was for a George Washington University basketball game on President's Day, 1995. My alma matter was taking on No.1-ranked UMass, and we all stood outside, all night, to buy tickets. I remember the cheerleaders bringing us hot chocolate as we stood outside, shivering.
The actual game turned out to be worth the wait, as we upset UMass, and I stormed the court (along with 5,500 other students) for the first and last time ever. Also, President Clinton and Chelsea attended the game, which was allegedly the most raucous ever to take place at GW. Locally, I remember standing in line for hours at the Northridge Sears to get tickets to a WWF tag team match between Hulk Hogan and Da Crusher, and Big John Studd and (I think) King Kong Bundy.
This was probably in 1986, and our waiting paid off: my family and I got front-row seats to the action, held at the old MECCA. I even high-fived the Hulkster, a memory I shall never forget.

Drew - the Rosemont Horizion is now called the Allstate Arena, and it indeed is one crappy arena! I always wonder someday if a plane taking off from nearby OHare would ever just crash on top of it.
