Milwaukee producer and musician Gary Tanin, a multiple Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Award winner, has earned praises from BigO, Singapore's most prestigious music magazine, for his recent work on the Xpensive Dogs release "Dog Eat Dog."
The record was recorded with Japanese musician Toshiyuki Hiraoka. The duo created it by exchanging music files via the Internet.
Stephan Tan of BigO calls the production "exquisite" and gives it seven out of 10 points, writing, "Now that Tanin has exorcised some of the ghosts that might have dogged him, perhaps he would like to consider a full-fledged surf album as his next project. After all, the man has a twang that just won't go away."
Tanin mastered the OnMilwaukee.com summer music sampler, "OMCD_0.10."
