Summerfest celebrates its 45th year with a 45,000-ticket giveaway
Summerfest is kicking off its 45th anniversary year with a 45,000-ticket giveaway starting today at noon.
Fest fans can log on to the brand new Summerfest.com to score one free general admission ticket for opening day, Wednesday, June 27. Tickets will be available for 45 hours, or until all the tickets have been claimed.
Website visitors can also explore the new look and features of the website, which include interactive tools and a Highlights and Events display on the redesigned homepage.
Summerfest 2012 runs June 27-July 1 and July 3-8 from noon to midnight. The festival will be closed Monday, July 2.

This drops in my email box at 4:00 pm. The Summerfest crashed hours ago. No one can get tickets at the moment. And at 4:40, Summerfest is still advertising it on Facebook. I wonder if the crash will give Summerfest more publicity?
