Many folks have relocated and said they never noticed how much alcohol we drink here in Mil-town, until they moved away. Statistically, we know we drink most of the world's brandy -- and a crap-load of beer to boot -- but do you think Milwaukeeans drink more than people living in other cities?

E-mail us at soundoff@staff.onmilwaukee.com and if picked, we'll post your response next Sunday. Only submissions that include your full name and where you live will be considered.

Last week's question:

Is Wisconsin still "The Big Cheese?"

Wisconsin is, and always will be, the cheesiest state of all.

I find it interesting that California will soon be able to claim itself as "America's Dairy State." Two years ago we spent a couple of weeks in California helping our daughter with her new baby. Of course, we had to go grocery shopping. I almost stopped breathing when I saw that a gallon of milk was $4.99 a gallon! Besides the high cost, the taste of California dairy products is far inferior to ours. Apparently, their diet isn't as well controlled as our pampered cows, thus giving their products a very odd taste. So, let them take the title! I will continue to send cheese to my relatives in California. They may have more cows but they certainly don't have more taste!
