Sunday Sound-off: Are non-Packers fans annoyed or amused by football fever?
Does this guy do anything for ya? Anything at all?

It's virtually impossible to escape football talk these days, especially with tonight's big game on the horizon. Many folks love it, and can't chat enough about Packers-related topics, but for people who don't care about the sport, the public's pigskin obsession could get annoying.

So, today's Sound-off is dedicated to those people who don't really care about The Pack. Does all of the green-and-gold hype annoy or amuse you?

It's annoying.
I cannot believe how many people love the Packers, including people who I never would have dreamed are football fans. There's so much more going on in the world, I can't believe the media -- and so much of the public -- seems more excited and / or concerned about football than anything else. All I can say on a positive note is that Sunday evening's game will be a great time to shop for groceries.

It's amusing.
I'm not a big football person, but I can't help but to get caught up in the excitement. It's fun to see so many people psyched up about something so simple and, more or less, wholesome. Actually, I kind of wish I could get into the Packers spirit, because it looks like fun. However, football is just not for me.

It's kind of practical. The stores are a ghost town during Packer games.

While I'm not a Packer fan, I'm still looking forward this this Sunday's game. I don't mind a little hype here and there, especially when a local team is playing well, but this year the Packer-Mania seems a bit excessive. Every time I turn the TV on its all about a new Packer story or exclusive. A.k.A. - Any story we can throw the words "Packers" or "Green and Gold" into. I mean when were doing stories about Brett Farve's wife's sister's cousins' niece's green and gold themed art painting its becoming a bit excessive lol. At any rate, it will all be over soon and we can go back to paying attention to something far more important - The Brewers!

I've been a Packer fan all my life and I enjoy cheering for them...good season or bad season....some people go a little (or alot) overboard when it comes to being a fan. However, as long as they are not spilling beer on me....blocking my view or driving drunk...I don't really care....Go Pack!!!!

I'm in the middle of the road about the whole thing actually. While not a Packer fan, it is amusing at the amount of coverage that they are getting and there in lines the annoyance. Seriously, there has to be other news that can be reported so that we don't have to have a "special" one hour, two hour or three hour report every single day. Heck, I know there is other news out there because the Wii reports other stories and it isn't all about the Packers. It almost reminds me of the "Hate Michigan" week when we used to live in Columbus, Ohio when THE Ohio State University hosts the University of Michigan. It was both annoying and amusing there as this hype of the Packers is here.
