Research conducted by Allstate Insurance Co. found that Milwaukee was the safest city in the United States among those with populations between 500,000 and 1 million.
According to "Allstate America's Best Drivers Report," a Milwaukee driver is likely to experience a crash only once every 12.5 years compared with the national rate of one every 10 years.
Phoenix ranked the highest for safety among cities with more than 1 million people with a collision likely once every 9.7 years. Residents of Sioux Falls, S.D., are the safest drivers in the U.S., according the study, which can be read here in its entirety.
