If I told you that Efren Ramirez was showing up at Cans Bar and Canteen on Aug. 12 to make all your wildest dreams come true, would you know who I was talking about?
What about if I said, "It's Pedro."
Nothing?
"From 'Napoleon Dynamite.'"
There we go.
And yes, it true. Mr. Ramirez is making a special guest DJ appearance at Cans' two-year anniversary party on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. And if you come dressed as any "Napoleon" character -- Uncle Rico, Kip, any of them -- you get some pretty sweet drink specials, including 3 Olives vodka martini shots for $1, Pabst Blue Ribbon for $2 and $3 tall boys.
There's a $5 charity donation at the door, with proceeds benefiting Operation Uplink, an initiative that purchases phone cards for Milwaukee's overseas troops so that they can call home.
