OnMilwaukee.com will once again crossover to television, thanks to a new partnership with the popular television show, "Making The Grade." The two groups recently entered a reciprocal arrangement that will include the exchange of Web articles and news segments, beginning in February 2003.
"We are really excited about this multimedia partnership," said Kim Schwandt, MTG producer. "In addition to the mutual benefits of sharing information, our teens will learn more about how information is produced and edited for the web. Our teens will also be introduced to many interesting web sites. Onmilwaukee.com does a great job of covering exciting things happening around town, so we're eager to be able to share that with our audience."
As part of the exchange, OMC's Molly Snyder Edler will appear on the show every month in a monthly news segment called the "OnMilwaukee Minute." Edler will write and report on entertainment options for teens like thrift store shopping and teen dance clubs.
MTG staff members and students will write a monthly article for OnMilwaukee.com, called the "MTG Click" which will cover interesting and informative topics related to teens.
"We are absolutely thrilled about our new relationship with 'Making The Grade,'" said Edler. "Connecting with Milwaukee teenagers has been a longtime goal for OnMilwaukee.com, and with the help of MTG, it's happening!"
MTG airs on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. and again on Saturdays at 11 a.m. on UPN 24. More than 21,000 viewers tune in to MTG every episode.
