Friday night's graffiti assault on the east side of the Santiago Calatrava-designed addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum was "minimal" and has already been removed quickly at a cost of "$1,000-2,000," David Gordon, director of the Milwaukee Art Museum, told a crowd at Monday's Greater Milwaukee Committee at the University Club downtown.
Gordon said the incident happened on Friday in an area that security cameras don't cover. Cameras have been adjusted and police are investigating spray cans left at the screen. The graffiti will be removed in its entirely in 1-2 days, as weather permits.
