Milwaukee Downtown, Business Improvement District #21, and Kujawa Enterprises Inc. (KEI) have been awarded the prestigious "Award of Distinction" by the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA). The "Award of Distinction" recognizes work on the downtown streetscape project, which included the installation of planters and hanging baskets along the RiverWalk and portions of Wisconsin Avenue.
The largest, most influential landscape trade association in the United States, the ALCA presented Milwaukee Downtown and KEI the award on Saturday in Charlotte, N.C.
"We are honored to receive this prestigious award and be held in such esteemed company," said Beth Nicols, executive director of Milwaukee Downtown. "The downtown streetscape program has not only revitalized the city aesthetically, but it's also boosted the momentum throughout downtown. KEI has done a great job keeping downtown a beautiful place to live, work and play."
KEI has been a contracted partner of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, since its inception in 1998. Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, is an organization established in 1998 to support the interests of the downtown Milwaukee business community.
