I auditioned for the part of Jake in the Neil Simon play, "Jake's Women" at Sunset Playhouse last week. Didn't get the part but you ought to put the play on your calendar. It's one of Simon's lesser-known works, but has lots of laughs.
It opens Jan. 12 under the well-respected direction of Jan Nelson who runs the theater department at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Sunset, with artistic director Mark Salentine hitting his stride, sets the highest level for community theater in this area and along with the Patio Players and Waukesha Civic rank at the very top.
You can call Sunset for tickets.
