Independence First is moving east. If you live in -- or drive through -- Walker's Point, you've probably noticed the 40,000-sq. ft. building at 540 S. 1st St. with a 20-ft. banner declaring, "WhoIsOnFirst.org."
"We're moving in soon," says Carol Pritzlaff Voss, Independence First's public relations and marketing director, noting that the building will house, "approximately 90 office staff -- and then an additional approximately 1,100 personal care workers in the community work for us, too."
After a VIP grand opening event on Thursday, Oct. 23, there will be a community-wide open house on Thursday, Nov. 13.
The non-profit's offices are currently located at 600 W. Virginia St. in Walker's Point.
