Miller Brewing Company concluded the year-long celebration of its 150th Anniversary when the brewer lit up the Miller Valley for the holiday season on Dec. 1.

The tradition of decorating the Miller Valley with holiday lights dates back to the 1950s, but was suspended in 1973 when the U.S. faced a severe energy crisis. The Miller Valley remained dark until last year, when Miller kicked off its 150th Anniversary by bringing the Holiday Lighting Celebration back to State Street.

The festive holiday lighting display, which includes approximately 40,000 lights, is open to the public Dec. 2 through Jan. 1 in the Miller Valley between 38th and 41st Streets.
