We've just received news that the DeGiovanni family which relocated to Milwaukee from Casale Monferrato in the Piedmont region of Italy will open Golosi, a gelato and coffee shop, in the Italian style, in Oconomowoc in December. Stay tuned for more on this development, which is an exciting one for Italophiles and lovers of fine desserts.

Paul B said: Downtown and the east side already have an abundance of coffe shops and even a few places that serve gelato. Everything can't be on the east side. The suburbs are more lacking in these types of establishments, so yes, bravo to Oconomowoc or any other suburb that manages to attract a quality coffee house other than Starbucks. No knock on Starbucks, but variety is always a good thing.
