Two words of advice for folks planning on attending the opening day of Summerfest 2007:
Dress warm.
It was chilly on the grounds when gates opened at noon today and it doesn't seem like it will get much warmer. Temperatures could dip into the 50s for some shows tonight and a pretty steady breeze off the lake might make that seem even cooler.
"The World's Biggest Music Festival" is generally a happy place, but you won't be smiling a lot if you stroll down there today in a tank top and shorts. This is a pretty good day for a sturdy fleece jacket or pullover.
