East African restaurant Lula's Café, 2921 N. Oakland Ave., closed earlier this week. A Persian restaurant, Shiraz, will go in its place by early spring. This will be the second Shiraz location -- the original restaurant, 6030 W. North Ave., is in Wauwatosa.

The owners of Lula's Café will continue to operate their other venture, Club Timbuktu, 520 E. Center St.
