A Brazilian steakhouse called Oscar Brazil is set to move into the former Stout Bros. site on Water Street downtown. It will be modeled after two Chicago eateries, Sal e Carvao and Fogo de Chao.
Also, look for a new cheese and brat place opening at 275 W. Wisconsin Ave.
In other news around the bars, clubs and restaurants scene:
Stacy L. Stangarone will open a new place called Annona Bistro in Bay View at 2643 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. while the Kinsale Inn is coming to 3040 S. Delaware Ave.
In the Brady Street neighborhood, Nomad and Trocadero owner Mike Eitel will open Balzac in the space that housed Watermark restaurant, 1716 N. Arlington Pl. And, watch for Casablanca, a Middle Eastern restaurant, to open at the closed Club 728, 728 E. Brady St.

stray dog said: What's up with Troc serving Tillamook cheddar on a ritzy cheese plate? Isn't that what Micky D's is putting on their bacon and cheddar burger? I guess you don't throw away a Cadillac just because its got a ding in it, but lets get some real Wisconsin aged cheddar here!

taylorgirl said: Balzac was GREAT (Friday). Accidentally happened upon Balzac on Friday night, only it's 3rd day open. It's kick a$$!!!!! The "Small Plate" offerings are awesome, 5year cheddar knocked my sox off. And the martini's are not the typical sugarsweet candy stuff you find everywhere else. Light, crisp flavors, featuring interesting ingredients like Honey and Mint, Frozen grapes functioning as "icecubes"... Syrah and Dessert wine were even ingredients in 2 of them. Atmosphere is beautifully lit, and chillll. Check it out!

taylorgirl said: Troc is doing great BUT it wouldn't kill them to remedy the attrocious service problems. Dont get me wrong, we all still go there because we cant beat the patio and Brie Tomato Basil sammy, but when you wait 40 minutes to get just your drinks, and then another 40 for your food sometimes, its a little out of control. Mike, we love you! we love your joints, please don't let Troc go to heck though! It's in need of a tweak.

Michelle said: Trocadero is doing just fine. If you haven't noticed, some businesses do "happy hour" late night instead of late afternoon. I frequent Trocadero and it's always busy...especially during the summer.
