According to Jelani Nation, part-owner and general manager, the Bean Head Cafe, 1835 N. Martin Luther King Dr., has been closed nearly two weeks now and he's hoping that a new owner will purchase the business and keep it open as a cafe.
A sign inside the window at Bean Head Cafe reads "Business for Sale" and lists a phone number. It's a sad sign for a street and neighborhood that has seen something of a revival in recent years.
Neighborhood caffeine hounds breathed a sigh of relief when Bean Head opened its doors in Brewers Hill in October 2002. The cafe later expanded its food and music offerings.
