Milwaukee rapper Baby Drew -- who in 2003 revisited the great "Disco Lady" written by Milwaukee soul man Harvey Scales -- launches his second disc, "Street Music," on Feb. 1 with an advance album release party at The Amistad, 24th and North Avenue, Friday, Jan. 28 at 9 p.m.
Featuring the plug tunes "Turn It Loose (Rice & Beans)" and "Hit 'Em Wit the Mean Mug," the CD is also available in a monster double-disc version with 40, count 'em, 40 tracks, produced by Infinite Records' Big Hank, aka "The Heat."
"Street Music" also features guest appearances by Too Short and Houston's Devin the Dude.
Cover for the party is $10.
