Former Milwaukee Police Chief Arthur Jones has joined the 1290 WMCS talk radio staff as a guest host.
Jones retired as Milwaukee's police chief in November 2003, ran for mayor in 2004 and now heads his own consulting firm. The former chief was also involved in a discrimination case that cost the City $2.2 million.
"Bringing Chief Jones on board is a tremendous opportunity for our station and this community. Arthur Jones is the consummate law enforcement professional who is well respected and admired in this city. We expect him to tackle the complex questions our listeners have regarding police practices, while addressing their concerns about police/community relations," said WMCS General Manager Don Rosette.
Jones, a life-long resident of Milwaukee holds a bachelors degree in Social Welfare with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
"WMCS has been the only media outlet that provides a platform that allows all individuals to express their views and concerns equally, regardless of race or political persuasion. I am extremely happy to be a part of this organization," Jones said.

Didn't he refer to a white person as an "Uncle Tom" at a city meeting covered by a local television station? Same context as calling an African-American the dreaded N word. He is a disgrace to our city and its tax payers. One can only guess the type of listeners he will draw from: trash, regardless of skin color.

Well respected by who? Art Jones is a disgraceful person and a racist himself.
