Is Alterra coming to Locker's in Tosa?

Word on the street is that Alterra Coffee will open a new cafe in the currently under construction Lockers development that replaces the distinctive Locker's floral shop at 9125 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa.

The location would be Alterra's first in Tosa outside of Mayfair.

Although no one at Alterra is willing to comment on the record, there has been much buzz about the location in the building that will also house apartments. Negotiations, however, are apparently still under way.

Another cafe is in the works for Grafton, too.

Stay tuned for more as it becomes available.

Thats great news. I have high hopes for the lockers location after they finally tore down that dump of a floral shop. I think Alterra will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of business they'll be able to generate. The location has no coffee cafes within a few miles though there is an advertisement on 92nd and Center in the window for a new cafe called Parkway Cafe after the Menomonee River Parkway a few blocks away. Lets hope both locations are successful.

Glad to see the Scoops section is being used again. Keep up the rumors!
