I just came from here and I will not be returning. I have been to Rip Tide quite a few times since they opened and I am usually pleased. This was the worst dining experience I have had in quite a long time. The waitress started us off by taking our appetizer order, walking 5 steps from the table then returning to ask if we had, in fact ordered an appetizer. WOW. Food comes and was delicious as always (compliments to the chef), but the obnoxious party of 12 or so of the most ghetto fabulous individuals I have ever seen that were seated right next to us, were yelling so loudly we could hardly converse at our table. With the rest of the dining area basically empty, why not keep the group off by themselves so everyone else out for a pleasant evening doesn't have to listen to them? The drink order was screwed up as well (there were only 2 of us and only I ordered another drink-not much to have to remember) and with only a handful of tables in the place occupied, things should have moved a little faster. And that damn party!!! WOW (again). I don't mind spending a few $$ for a good meal in an enjoyable setting, but for the service and ambiance here tonight, I should have gone to Popeye's or Red Lobster on check day! I love dining out and I worked for years in the service industry myself so: let's remember why it's called the SERVICE INDUSTRY!!! This job is not for everyone. You are here to please your customers, and to do that you must be on the ball and observant. If you don't they will go somewhere else (like I plan to). I like Eagan's.............

Horrible service!!! My wife and I visited here twice. The first time we walked in, checked in with the host and went to the bar for a drink. The host said it would be 10 to 15 minutes. After a half hour I went up to the host to find out when we could be seated and she said she forgot to put our names down!!! We finally did get seated and the food was good so we decided to go back the next week. Once again the host said it would be 15 minutes so we went to the bar while we wait. I have no problem waiting, but the bartender kept walking by us! We sat at the bar for the 15 minutes, when the host came and got us the bartender then asked if we needed anything. We told him we would rather get it from our server. That is were the problem started. NO SERVER! We sat there for 10 minutes with no water or anything. The couple sitting next to us put their drink order in and said they have been waiting a long time to get their food order in. My wife and I got up from the table and left. Noone said anything to us! As we walked by the hostess, we heard her ask a fellow employee if we ever got served. To me that is absolutely unacceptable. My wife and I go out to dinner one to two times a week and the service here is the worst we have experienced in the city of Milwaukee! Apparently they were busy enough they didn't need our business.
