So many margaritas, so little time … That's why before we unleashed our thirsty writers on this latest Milwaukee Challenge, we opened up the voting to the readers of OnMilwaukee.com. In the next few weeks, we'll unveil the fruits of our labors (probably limes) and tell you who, in our opinion, makes Milwaukee's best margarita.
We'll pit the top two vote getters head-to-head and declare it once and for all.
But if you can't wait till then, here are the top 10 margaritas you voted for (we provided 25 choices, plus "other"). Blended or on the rocks, that's up to you, amigo.

How is Conejitos on this list? I love that place, the food is great. But I have to admit their margaritas are awful. Worst margarita in the city.

Edgar's Calypso on Water has amazingly delicious margaritas. They beat out any of the mexican restaurants and they are strong!

I love Taqueria Azteca!!!! The margarita's are the best in town that I have found and the service is outstanding. They can be expensive depending on what you order but well worth it. Taqueria Azteca you have my vote for #1

Go to El Senorial (on South 31st and Burnham, a block south of Mitchell Street) and have your strawberry margarita made by Pepe, the bartender. Then try to stop at just one. But seriously, fellow thirtysomethings, isn't there more to life than the pursuit of drunkenness? :-)

Love the fresh fruit concoctions at Tacqueria Azteca, just wish I didn't need to take out a second mortgage on my house to buy a pitcher. Botanas also has sneaky strong and terribly good margaritas, but I think the best margaritas I've ever had were sitting in the chair at Joses Barber Shop!
