Brian Normoyle, Ryan Biechler and Luke Grant will open Telluride, an "eco-friendly neighborhood tavern," in the former Chaser's space at 2155 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. in Bay View, in early May, according to a statement by Ald. Tony Zielinski.
The bar - named for the environmentally-conscious Colorado ski area -- will have outdoor beer garden that will use existing green space and new plantings. It will also capture rainwater, use solar energy and other green initiatives. Telluride owners also plan to participate in Milwaukee's Fair Trade Initiative, according to the statement.
"Telluride will offer an attractive, casual atmosphere in an environmentally friendly setting, and the owners' business plan shows a commitment to being a stable, positive force for the neighborhood," said Zielinski.
