The '70s and '80s retro dance party is over at Have A Nice Day Café, 1103 N. Old World 3rd St. in Downtown Milwaukee.

The club that opened in 2000 has closed its doors, removed its awnings and crews have already begun to demolish the interior.

Have A Nice Day Café has several locations across the country.

The owners of Have A Nice Day Café are reworking the entire space and opening a new concept that's "hot in Charlotte right now."

One trusted insider source says the new club will be called Suite Milwaukee, modeled after Suite Charlotte, an upscale club in that city's downtown.

SuiteMilwaukee could open as early as the end of November. (-ed the official opening day is December 5, 2008).

Onieda - you're the problem with "racism" playing the race card instead of maybe evaluating your fashion sense. Why would they turn well dressed customers away? Maybe you guys were dressed like you came from your corner bar or couch and the guys looked like they were ready to shoot a hip hop video? The place wasnt that busy anymore so I am sure they would have liked to have more customers.

For the love of God, Oneida, can you get off it. Have a nice day did not close because they are racist to native americans. In fact, they did not close because they were racist to anybody. They closed because the place blew mud. Can you please lift yourself up by the bootstraps and make something of yourself and stop playing the victim card...

I went there twice, years ago. I never had a good time. I agree with the other blogger, it was alot of young women hanging all over dirty old men. No big loss.
