It's one of our city's classic lounges. Others have tried and failed to imitate its vintage mystique, kitschy charm and decadent, over-the-top frou-frou drinks.

If you're looking for a pint of craft beer -- or even a Miller Lite -- you'll be sorely disappointed. At Random doesn't do beer; it's way too working class. This Bay View landmark is better suited for a romantic night out, a secret rendezvous (it won in that category as well) or a special occasion for which sipping Scotch is required.

Go ahead, indulge. Just call first; hours often seem to be as random as its name suggests.
