"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars and club articles -- including guides, unique features, drink recipes and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!
The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2009. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all month long in the Bars and Clubs section of OnMilwaukee.com.
Landmark Lanes wins the readers' choice award for best bar games in Milwaukee and by doing so, confirms what we were all thinking. It might be "old school," but it's hard to find another bar with the sheer quantity of bar games found underground at Landmark Lanes.
For years, Milwaukeeans have looked to the Landmark for friendly Olympic style event challenges; utilizing the barrage of bar games to generate an evening of low-key competition.
In addition to a 10-lane bowling alley, you'll find darts, pool, air hockey and foosball in the three rooms. Dance Dance Revolution, Cruisn' USA and pinball fill a decent sized arcade luring you to waste away loose change and an afternoon.
While we agree Landmark Lanes has some of the best bar games in town, we've chosen the hidden Champion's Pub for its new, classic shuffleboard table.
OnMilwaukee.com editor's choice: Champion's Pub
Runners-up:
2. Champion's Pub
3. Burnhearts
4. Thurmans
5. Art Bar
6. White House
7. Yield
8. Village Pub
9. Blackbird
10. Britinn
11. Circa

Seriously? VillagePub? Brittin, really? Fanatics has darts, pools, BEAN BAGS in the bar! Three person pop a shot, shuffleboard, and a private game room with Rock Band, XBox360's and PS3's. I would put up a solid vote for Stenny's too. The hockey bubble, old school bowling, skeeball, shuffleboard, and other old school games top 7 of your top ten places. Lastly, how does Wolski's not make the list with a designated dart area with holes in the wall from when our grandpas played?
