Mike Jakubowski
Mike is a proud graduate of Marquette University and is the Public Address Announcer for the Golden Eagles Men's Basketball program. His company, MJ Worldwide, specializes in integrated sports marketing and event production.
Jakubowski's television experience includes
play-by-play announcing for national TV bowling telecasts including 1997's Brunswick World Team Challenge series, U.S. National Amateur Championships and the Masters. Jakubowski called Jason Queen's 300 game during the 1997 Masters semifinals.
The 2007 and 2008 USBC Intercollegiate Bowling Championships feature Jakubowski as play-by-play announcer for CBS College Sports.
Jakubowski pioneered PA announcing for televised bowling programs in 1998, most recently working the 2007 U.S. Women's Open, 2007 USBC Masters, 2008 USBC Queens (ESPN) Bowling's Clash of Champions (CBS) and
the Men's World Bowling Championships in Bangkok, Thailand (Thai TV). He is the current audio producer and PA announcer on the Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour.
He worked 10 seasons for the Milwaukee Brewers as scoreboard director from Nolan Ryan's 300th win and Robin Yount's 3,000th hit, to the closing of County Stadium, opening of Miller Park and the 2002 All Star
Game.
Mike grew up in West Allis and graduated from Nathan Hale High School. He lives in Oak Creek and Chicago. |
