The space on Water Street, just south of Mason, has been vacant for months and most recently was Fat Freddy's (I think that was the name), before that Downtown's only Arby's. Soon, though -- according to a sign on the window -- it will be Cornby's.

Frankly, that's all I know. I've attempted several phone calls, all going straight to a fax and walked by many times, too (never have I seen anyone working there).

So, I'm here to tell you that Corby's is coming. My guess is they'll sell sandwiches, maybe even corned beef. A partial menu is posted on the inner window inside parking structure and at the space.  A quick read did confirm suspicions that it's a sandwich / deli kind of place. But, that's all I know.
